We had great plans to go out of town to celebrate Mother's Day yesterday - a day late since Andrew had to work on Sunday - but those quickly got derailed when Lily came down with a fever over the weekend that didn't go away till she woke up this morning. Those darn teeth.
So instead of going to Orlando and eating sushi (vegetarian - no raw fish for this pregnant girl) at our favorite Thai restaurant and perusing Ikea and Target, we stayed around town and did a few things here. Andrew let me choose the place to eat (Olive Garden), the entertainment (shopping at Marshall's, Ross and Michael's) and then he suggested we top off the afternoon/evening by going to Dairy Queen and getting ice cream. Yeah, he gets me. :)
It ended up being an extremely exhausting day both physically and mentally. Lily was off and on miserable most of the afternoon. Poor baby. I brought Tylenol and teething tablets with us just in case but she was mostly just tired since she'd only had a very short nap right before we left the house. She finally did end up passing out for about half an hour in her stroller (which we never use anymore but am so glad we decided to bring at the last minute) halfway through Ross. She wanted me to carry her the rest of the time which I am finding harder and harder to do. Yesterday was actually the first day that I really felt pregnant. I mean, waddle-like-a-duck-while-holding-your-back-and-shoving-your-ginormous-belly-into-the-air-in-front-of-you...pregnant. I guess at 33 weeks I deserve to finally feel that way.
We capped off the day by making a quick stop off at Walmart for a few things ('cause sometimes you just gotta), putting the Bean to bed early and watching That 70's Show on Netflix. And it even rained for a bit last night. Always a plus in my book.
All in all, not a bad Mother's Day.
